at some point in the near future I will be boarding a large metal tube that will tra nsport me, Mrs Opposaurus and the 3 little Opposuari to a Myrtle Beach.

How fun is it to fly with (2) 6 y/o’s and a 19 month old who cannot sit still?

hows Myrtle Beach?

We flew from Chicago to LA with our 20 month old recently. We timed the flights to coordinate with his naps as best as we could and brought lots of videos for him to watch. Worked out okay, either benadryl or whiskey (for everyone) would be the backup plan.

Have fun!

I just went to Myrtle Beach with the family (8 and 5 y/o) at the end of June/beginning of July. It was a good time. The ocean was nice and warm and the waves weren’t too bad. Theres a lot to do family-wise. Things like mini-golf, go karting, boardwalk games are all over the place. Ripleys Aquarium is nice and not too expensive and the rest of the area around it is full of nice little shops and restaurants.

Isn’t there a missing nuclear weapon near there? Could be fun scuba diving!

Vodka and Cherry Coke works, too.

That sounds like a god awful combination.

Signed, someone whose first bad experience with alcohol was vodka and Coke.

If you haven’t ever heard this, set aside some time for it. It’s little NSFW at points.

That’s James McMurtry, son of the famous Western author Larry McMurtry ( Lonesome Dove ). They are both great storytellers.

Further south, off Tybee island.

While yes, he could be thinking of the time a guy accidentally dropped a nuke outside of Florence in the 50's(?).

People were so cavalier about the absolute destruction of all life on earth back then.

It definitely wasn’t on purpose. The guy accidentally opened the bay doors, but being vertically challenged, he could not reach the lever to close it. So he grabbed on to something in order to reach it. He grabbed the emergency release. Fortunately it was not armed.
